Our First Broker Breakfast in the New Offices

DUAL Asset held its first broker breakfast in their brand new offices at One Creechurch Place on April 3rd. The main theme was around estate and inheritance insurance. As with past breakfasts, it was well attended with around 40 brokers grabbing a coffee and a croissant to listen to our two speakers. The first guest to speak was Major General Andy Salmon CMG OBE. Andy was the former Commandant General of the Royal Marines and was the last commanding officer of coalition forces in Basra. Andy spoke about his experiences of turning chaos to harmony and how the commando mind-set can apply to business.

The second speaker was DUAL Asset’s very own Kate Thorp. Kate manages the Executor & Inheritance Protection team at DUAL and discussed how executor and inheritance insurance can help clients move forward. There was also a clear message for brokers, that this product should really be at the forefront of client meetings, if it is not already. “There are still solicitors, banks, accountants and probate services companies out there, who still do not realise insurance is available for many estate and inheritance matters,” says Kate Thorp. “It is a great opportunity for brokers to re-engage with their clients and talk to them about the many types of products DUAL can offer in this area. It could save their clients time and money, give protection to the estate and help release estate funds, which could otherwise have been tied up for years, especially if there has already been a dispute or claim on the estate.”
